ENSTA Bretagne opens a new Specialized Advanced Master dedicated to "Management of Maritime Projects"

Management of Maritime Project - Advanced Master

ENSTA Bretagne, graduate and post graduate engineering school renowned for its maritime expertise, is extending its range of courses to answer the Blue Growth requirements, expressed by numerous industrial partners. Its new Advanced Master “Management of Maritime Projects” has the full support of the Pôle Mer Bretagne Atlantique (technology cluster) and has just obtained certification from the Conférence des Grandes Ecoles

The new Specialized Advanced Master « Management of Maritime Projects » was certified on 15 December by the Pôle Mer Bretagne Atlantique. In February, it obtained the certification of the Conférence des Grandes Ecoles (CGE). Its aim: train project managers able to pilot, coordinate and evaluate maritime projects of international caliber.

Dominique Sennedot, President of the Pôle Mer Bretagne Atlantique: “The Pôle Mer Bretagne Atlantiaue certified this Advanced Master to encourage the need for maritime culture in initial and continued training. This new Advanced Master “Management of Maritime Projects” is a marker to the good of the Blue Growth policy. Henceforth, “trained in the sea” is a reality ».

ENSTA Bretagne is based internally on a training program in two skills sets created in 2010, « Engineering and Management of Organizations », and externally on an extended partnership with Sciences Po Rennes, recognized for its expertise in the comprehension of the major stakes facing society.

ENSTA Bretagne engineering school sets the bar in France for marine sciences and technologies : half the 250 graduates leave the school with varied profiles, having deepened their skills through contact with the maritime sector.

The expected skills are an ability to adapt, receptiveness, analysis of environments to maximize the economic strategy of projects.

Knowledge of « agile » work methods enable the development of innovative and complex projects via an iterative and collaborative approach.

The training, open to master level graduates in engineering sciences, aims to enable students to reason in terms of ecosystems and the maritime sector and to integrate the powerful rise of digital technologies in the methods of project management.

The originality of the training is that from the start of the academic year, it integrates piloting a long project in a group, combining the Specialized Advanced Master Management of Maritime Project students with those of the “Land and Sea” Master, of Sciences Po Rennes, to give better training in the strong interdisciplinarity of the maritime field. Thus, the “Maritime Studies Laboratory” take place on the Brest (ENSTA Bretagne) campus (50%), and on the Rennes (Institut d’Etudes Politiques) campus (50%).
