Detailed programme - MSc in Maritime Engineering

The course covers 3 semesters:

• 2 semesters of applied training (starting on September) and

• 1 semester devoted to a final thesis in an industrial or academic environment in France or abroad, with a thesis to be defended in September.

All courses are given at ENSTA Bretagne either by research faculty members or by
engineers who are specialists in their field of industry : BUREAU VERITAS, DCNS,
STX, SAIPEM-SOFRESID, ACERGY, PRINCIPIA, SBM, AZUR OFFSHORE, and others

Semester 1

Semester 2
3 profiles enable the student to further his professional expertise in the second semester:
- “Offshore Platforms”,
- “Advanced Naval Hydrodynamics”,
- “Advanced Naval Structures”.

Semester 3: Master's Thesis (30 ECTS)

This semester is devoted to a final thesis in an industrial or academic environment in France or abroad, with a thesis to be defended in September.
The 6 month internship enables the student to validate his knowledge acquired over the two training semesters. It is marked on a written thesis
