Students housed in the RDE benefit from automatic civil liability insurance subscribed to at the same time as the multirisk household insurance (group contract ENSTA Bretagne).
An inventory and state of repair will be carried out (as well as on departure).
Rooms are only allocated if the rental agreement covering the school year has been signed.
Reservation : procedure
To validate your reservation of a room in the Hall of Residence (RDE), on the ENSTA Bretagne campus you should:
- Pay the sum of 700¤ by bank card on ENSTA Bretagne’s secure online payment site
This sum corresponds to the security deposit, the first month’s rent and the compulsory annual rental insurance (60 ¤). The balance will be paid at the beginning of the school year according to the type of room attributed.
If you cannot pay by this method, you can send a reservation request, together with a cheque for 700 ¤ made payable to the Agent Comptable de l'ENSTA Bretagne, which should be sent to the Responsable de la RDE: ENSTA Bretagne, 2 rue François Verny – 29806 BREST CEDEX 9.

Please note that ENSTA Bretagne will be closed from Thursday 21 July (evening) to Monday 16 August inclusive. Your telephone messages, correspondence, emails sent during this period will be dealt with from 17 August onwards. If you have sent a registered letter with recorded delivery or acknowledgement of receipt, it will also be dealt with from the 17 August onwards.
The rooms are furnished and equipped with a wash basin, numerous cupboards, and bedding, (a mattress, sheets, blankets, and a pillow).
The telephone can be connected to the national and international network (calls subject to charge).
Students can install their television and computer (free internet and connection).
The rooms are cleaned and sheets changed by a specialized company every fortnight. The RDE has a self-service launderette (3.50¤ per wash and dry).
There is a limited number of places in the courtyard of the RDE to stock your bicycles, motorbikes and windsurfing boards.
For health and safety reasons it is strictly forbidden to cook in your room and thus to equip it with cooking appliances.
Students only obtain a room in the Hall of Residence if one is available.
There is parking on campus.
NB: Girls will be given priority for a room with a shower upon request. Boys interested in a room with a shower will be allocated one if available. You will be told the room number and type (with or without shower) upon arrival for obvious reasons of priority (mobility issues, girls etc). Thank you for your understanding
You can receive housing benefit, allocated by the Caisse d’Allocations Familiale.
This would go towards paying your rent. The application form is to be completed directly online at the CAF site.
The Hall of Residence is a non CROUS university residence. Complete the application quickly as the date of validity is the date that it is registered. You do not receive benefit for the first month’s rent.
